This is an experienced aviation safety and loss control position based in Atlanta GA with the ability to work remotely. Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety & loss control surveys at aviation airport and manufacturing operations to identify and evaluate occupational safety/health hazards and liability exposures.
  • Provide written recommendations to correct deficiencies found during surveys.
  • Assist with reviewing/developing insureds aviation safety management systems and employee safety programs.
  • Conduct detailed loss analyses highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and participate in training presentations to insureds.
  • Research current safety topics issues safety legislation and regulations.
  • Develop safety communications and resources for insureds.
  • Assist with state specific safety and loss control requirements.
  • Assist underwriting with prospect accounts and promoting our safety and loss control services.

Education/Skills/Experience

  • 5-10 years of practical safety experience.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university. Safety Science or Aviation discipline preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional or must be willing to attain an accredited safety certification.
  • Knowledge of applicable aviation and safety regulatory compliance laws.
  • Private pilots certificate or aircraft maintenance experience desirable.
  • Must be able to write detailed reports in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects strong attention to detail work independently and take initiative.
  • Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibits integrity and responsibility.
