Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate detail-oriented Virtual Nurse Consultant to provide remote clinical guidance patient education and healthcare this part-time role you will leverage your clinical expertise to assist patients support care coordination and collaborate with healthcare teamsall within a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote nursing consultations via phone video or secure messaging platforms
- Assess patient symptoms medical histories and needs to offer appropriate guidance
- Educate patients on treatment plans medications and preventive care
- Assist with care coordination including referrals and follow-up recommendations
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Support chronic disease management and wellness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations privacy laws and organizational policies
- Collaborate with physicians specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 13 years of clinical nursing experience (telehealth or case management preferred)
- Strong assessment communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in telemedicine or virtual care environments
- Background in patient education triage or care coordination
- Multistate licensure (compact license preferred)
