ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD
Full-Time $21.58 - $22.92/hour based on experience
As an Environmental Services Quality Assurance Lead your work will help support a safe clean enjoyable and dignified environment for our residents while you enjoy a workplace rooted in compassion and respect. The schedule will vary depending on community needs hours 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday with some holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain departmental quality standards by actively supporting daily operations and team members
- Ensure compliance with Kendal at Ithaca standards and regulatory requirements
- Promote positive resident relations and follow established policies and procedures
- Provide coverage in areas affected by staff absences
- Conduct quality assurance audits within the WorxHub system
- Serve as team leader in the absence of the EVS Manager
- Collaborate with Laundry Coordinator Facility Services and Social Work departments
- Assist with apartment turnovers and annual cleanings in Independent Living and Health Care residences
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility
- Operate commercial laundry equipment
- Distribute clean linens and collect soiled linens facility-wide
- Treat stains; repair sew discard and record linen items as appropriate
- Supply bed and bath linens to residents and the Dining department
- Coordinate and manage personal laundry services for Health Center residents
- Oversee labeling and inventory of resident personal laundry
Qualifications
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry policies and procedures
- Previous commercial cleaning and laundry experience
- Experience with commercial laundry and labeling equipment
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Leadership ability and capacity to work effectively under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work harmoniously with staff residents vendors and visitors
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good reading writing math and telephone skills
- Ability to train and teach cleaning and laundry procedures used at Kendal at Ithaca
