Job Summary
Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security guards with a passion for customer service to work at the HMCS Discovery in Stanley Park.
Rotation: Tuesday - Friday 1500 - 2300
Payrate: $21.67/hr
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Controlling access to site
- Conducting security and fire patrols during silent hours
- Reporting any unauthorized activities to Site Supervisor and Facility Manager
- Reporting all noteworthy incidents to Facility Manager Site Supervisor and Commissionaires Management
- Answering the main gates telephone
- Checking both land-line and cell phone voice mails
- Checking computer for e-mails and appointments
- Securing gate when guard house is not manned
- Maintaining control of keys and ensuring the key log book is completed correctly
- Conducting basic public relations dealing with questions from members of public
- Valid BC Security Licence
- Been resident inCanada for a minimum of 5 years for clearance eligibility
- OFA 1 Certificate

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and equipment such as faxes and photocopiers

- Strong multi-tasking prioritizing and organizational skills
- Physically able to perform assigned duties including the ability to conduct extensive foot patrols
- Fluent English written verbal and reading skills
