Supported by the latest technology and an exciting $55 million upgrade we offer state of the art surgical medical cancer coronary and intensive care. We are renowned for complex surgery with our Critical Care Complex being the only one of its type in the northern suburbs of Melbourne providing intensive and high-dependency care post-surgery.

As the Administration Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding of hospital administration processes from pre-admissions to discharge including informed financial consents private health funding eligibility patient accounts billings debtors collection accounts payable
  • Rosters staffing and supervision of staff including reception pre-admissions discharges billing theatre bookings process review and ongoing change management and recruitment of new staff
  • Handling of enquiries and complaint resolution
  • Working knowledge of patient management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in managing and leading a team
  • Assisting and coordinating internal and external audits

Essential Criteria:

  • Promote a positive and collaborative team work environment and an efficient business culture
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills as well as an ability to multi-task
  • Professional and pleasant demeanour
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of people both internal and external and our Valued Medical Practitioners
  • Willingness and ability to learn and complete new tasks and the flexibility to embrace change
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within the scope of the role
  • TAFE/ Certificate - Diploma level qualification in Front-line Management Business Management or related discipline is desired
  • A focus on professional development
