Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will:
- Process fortnightly monthly and off-cycle payrolls
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work NES Modern Awards and ATO requirements
- Manage superannuation PAYG STP Phase 2 terminations and complex payroll scenarios
- Support audits remediation projects and award reviews
- Partner with People Finance and operational leaders to resolve payroll queries
- Contribute to annual remuneration reviews and compliance initiatives
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years experience in Payroll roles
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation including Superannuation Tax Long Service Leave Terminations
- Demonstrate sound Modern Award interpretation
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills in particular Excel
- Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment
- Experience working with payroll systems (Dayforce preferred but not essential) and time and attendance systems
- High level numeracy analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail data integrity focus and deadline discipline
- Clear communicator with a service mindset and confidence handling sensitive matters
- Can work in a team environment but also work independently in absence of the Payroll Manager.
Qualifications Certificates and Licences
- Holds a bachelors degree in business finance or other related discipline
- Payroll Professional Certification or membership (e.g. APA or TAPS) preferred but not essential
