About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality technical services across the Performance Arts Culture Cessnock and its outreach venues. The role plays an important part in ensuring hirers performers and audiences receive a professional reliable and enjoyable cultural experience supporting a wide range of performances events and community activities.

Working as part of a collaborative team you will assist with the setup operation and pack-down of technical equipment providing responsive support to venue users and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the venues. A strong focus on customer service and attention to detail will help ensure events are delivered safely and to a high standard.

The role also contributes to the ongoing care of the venues by assisting with the implementation of the venue maintenance schedule and maintaining accurate asset registers. This includes supporting routine checks identifying maintenance needs and ensuring venue assets and equipment are well managed and fit for purpose.

Remuneration

$65871 - $76272 per annum plus superannuation

About You

You hold a Certificate III or higher in creative arts technical production music or a related field with practical experience in creative arts or technical production. You have strong technical skills across theatre systems including rigging audio video and lighting and understand the demands of live performance and venue operations.

You are a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills able to work independently or in a small team and have a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. You are safety-conscious understand asset management and maintenance within a performance venue and are available to work evenings and weekends as required.
