The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking an experiencedSenior Asset Officer(SAO)to joinourAsset and Property team. Thisplays a rolein managing and safeguarding the NLCs assets and property portfolio ensuring assets are fit for purpose compliant and support the continuity of business operations across the organisation.

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Asset Management Officer as (SAO) you will coordinate day-to-day asset management activities contribute to asset planning and reporting support audits and revaluations and deliver small projects within approved timeframes and budgets.

Working closely with internal teams Traditional Owners and external stakeholders the role supports effective asset management across the full asset lifecycle - from acquisition through to disposal while ensuring compliance with legislative work health and safety and wellbeing requirements.

What You Will Bring:

You are an experienced asset management officer with the ability to coordinate systems data and asset lifecycle activities in a complex operational environment. You work collaboratively with internal teams Traditional Owners and external stakeholders to support effective service delivery compliance and continuous improvement.

In addition you will have:

  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience working in an Asset Management or a related role.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in asset management principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated high level cross-cultural interpersonal and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively liaise engage and coordinate across an array of stakeholders (internal traditional owners and external organisation) to build productive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement legislation regulations and standards.

We offer:

competitive remuneration and benefits under the NLC Enterprise Agreement including:

  • A Base Salary of $83099 plus 15% Superannuation on Base and District Allowance
  • Salary Sacrificing of up to $15900 plus meal and entertainment card benefits
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include
    • District Allowance DA2 of $4797 per annum for individuals with dependents and DA1 $2630 without dependents
    • 5 weeks annual leave 18 days personal leave
    • Paid Christmas Closedown
    • Upon Completion of 12 Months of Service an Annual Airfare with a net in hand value of $3177
