- Hold valid New Jersey Certificate of Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities School Psychologist or School Social Worker WITH acceptable graduate degree from an accredited university completion of acceptable graduate coursework in applied behavior analysis or enrolled in an acceptable program in applied behavior analysis. If necessary supervision in practical experience to apply for the BACB exam will be provided. Upon completion of supervision hours the candidate will meet all requirements to sit for the BACB exam and commit to Paterson Public Schools as a BCBA for at least three years.
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience working with students who exhibit academic emotional and/or behavioral challenges.
- Verifiable background/experience in Applied Behavior Analysis or Verbal Behavior.
- Must be able to assess data to develop effective intervention plan for students.
- Demonstrate effective problem solving communications organization planning record keeping and human relations skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with students staff parents administrators and others.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Demonstrate effective organizational skills.
- Effectively communicate in English both orally and in writing.
