Role Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven VSD PLC & Microsonic Sales Representative to join their Drives and Automation sales team. This role focuses on growing sales expanding market share and maintaining strong customer relationships within the KZN region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business managing existing accounts and providing sales and technical support for our VSD PLC and Microsonic product ranges. Regular travel within the region is required.

Location: New Germany Pinetown

Work Place: Field Staff

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years sales experience
  • Experience in industrial automation VSDs PLCs or ultrasonic sensors (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems VSDs and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of Modbus and industrial communication protocols
  • Experience using CRM systems and structured sales processes
  • Proficiency in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid drivers licence and own car (essential)
  • Sales technical or engineering-related qualification (advantageous)
  • Relevant sales or product training will be beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales turnover across the VSD PLC and Microsonic product ranges
  • Identify develop and secure new customers and market opportunities
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct sales visits independently and alongside internal sales teams
  • Provide first-line technical support and product guidance to customers
  • Follow up on quotations timeously and provide feedback to management
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline aligned with agreed targets
  • Submit monthly sales and activity reports
  • Comply with company policies safety standards and customer site requirements
  • Travel locally within the designated sales territory
