Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist leads high-volume and strategic recruiting efforts to meet hiring needs effectively. This role partners closely with hiring managers applicants human resources and key stakeholders to attract and secure top talent. The TA Specialist drives recruitment success by sourcing and engaging both active and passive candidates managing the interview and selection process and providing expert guidance on hiring best practices and compliance. This position may be based in either Houston or San Antonio.
Responsibilities
- Leads the full-cycle recruitment process for front-line hourly employees partnering with hiring managers to assess workforce needs post job openings screen applicants coordinate interviews extend offers and oversee pre-employment processes.
- Develops and executes diverse sourcing strategies including referrals job postings direct sourcing networking internships career fairs and partnerships with workforce development organizations.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to define key competencies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Provides a seamless hiring experience by maintaining professional and timely communication with internal stakeholders candidates and external partners.
- Manages an average requisition load of 25 full-time positions.
- Proactively addresses recruitment challenges by leveraging market insights and strategic consultation.
- Establishes and maintains partnerships with technical schools and workforce organizations to strengthen talent pipelines.
- Utilizes advanced talent acquisition technologies and HR systems to enhance recruitment efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Performs additional duties as needed to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Must have 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapts quickly to shifting business priorities and evolving demands.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills decisiveness and flexibility.
- Possesses exceptional interviewing skills.
- Has experience in the following systems: iCIMS ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft tools (preferred).
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus!
