Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Direct oversee and evaluate all nursing services ensuring the highest level of resident care and clinical outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility remains in constant survey-ready status adhering to all Title 22 and CMS regulations.
- Staff Development: Recruit mentor and retain a high-performing nursing team; foster a culture of professional growth and accountability.
- Budgetary Management: Oversee the nursing department budget including staffing ratios medical supplies and pharmacy costs.
- Quality Assurance: Lead the QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) program to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Administrator and Executive team to develop and implement clinical programs that enhance the facilitys reputation.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Education: BSN required; Masters in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (MSN/MHA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant DON in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Sub-Acute setting.
- Survey History: Proven track record of successful state and federal surveys (CDPH).
- Leadership Style: A servant leader approach with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
