Were launching a transformative Intensive Community Support Programme in Newham and were looking for a dynamic Clinical Team Lead to shape and lead this new model of care.

About the Role

As Clinical Team Lead youll head up a small specialist team delivering flexible therapeutic community-based support to young people aged 1318 who are at risk of family or placement breakdown. This is not a traditional crisis or inpatient role this is a unique opportunity to lead a service that offers early intensive support in the community tailored to the needs of young people with complex presentations.

Youll work closely with Newhams Edge of Care Service and partners across health social care and education to deliver high-impact interventions and reduce the need for restrictive practices.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for the Intensive Community Support team
  • Lead on complex assessments formulations and interventions
  • Offer expert consultation supervision and training to professionals and care teams
  • Drive service development evaluation and quality improvement
  • Foster strong multi-agency partnerships and system-wide collaboration
  • Champion inclusive trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware care pathways

What Were Looking For

Essential:

  • Professional registration (e.g. Clinical Psychologist RMN OT Social Worker)
  • Substantial experience in CAMHS or related services including leadership roles
  • Expertise in working with young people with complex needs neurodiversity and trauma
  • Strong clinical supervision and service development skills
  • Experience in safeguarding and risk management

Desirable:

  • Experience in service evaluation audit and quality improvement
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support and trauma-informed care models

  • The Clinical Team Lead will be based within Childrens Social Care with close links to CAMHS
  • The role includes responsibility for clinical supervision of team members
  • Travel within the borough may be required
