A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all plant operations. The role ensures efficient safe and high-quality production manages supply chain and inventory and drives operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily manufacturing operations meeting production quality and safety targets.
Plan and schedule production balancing workloads to optimise capacity.
Oversee inventory material availability and supply chain coordination.
Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Lead and develop operational teams monitor performance and support workforce planning.
Analyse operational KPIs and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to HSE policies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and workflows.
Coordinate cross-departmental projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:
Matric and Bachelors degree in Operations Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering; postgraduate preferred.
Minimum 5 years operations management experience in manufacturing.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP/MES systems production planning and inventory control.
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification advantageous.
