We are currently searching for a Network engineer:
Responsibilities:
- Obtain price quotations and bid forms negotiating terms with vendors to align with market value.
- Act as primary vendor manager to ensure correct deliveries based on signed contracts.
- Lead kickoff and order status meetings escalating risks regarding vendor delivery timelines to stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of vendor test results and Turn Over Packages (TOP).
- Coordinate patching requests with partner teams to ensure sufficient hardware/patch cord availability.
- Coordinate E2E testing schedules and update critical system records.
- Update Install Dates Acceptance status and Physical Circuit IDs to ensure accurate billing processes.
- Provide vendor surveys based on the clients specific measuring parameters.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry with technical expertise in fiber optics technology.
- Experience in OSI Layer 1 (Physical) and Layer 2 (Data Link) troubleshooting for WAN point-to-point connections.
- Familiarity with network path elements in data centers specifically router ports and patch panels.
- Excellent English speaking skills (Advanced/Fluent).
- Ability to manage high-pressure environments short timelines and multiple simultaneous requests.
Principal Skills:
- LAN/WAN/WLAN routing & switching
- Firewalls VPNs SD-WAN
- Data center & cloud networking basics
- Fiber Optics (testing splicing migration)
- DWDM / optical transport fundamentals
Must
- possess a Professional Title and Cédula Profesional (Mandatory for TN Visa processing).
Languages
- Advanced Oral English.
- Native Spanish.
