Year 4 Teacher – Cockfosters

We are seeking a confident enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Cockfosters starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they develop independence and confidence in lower KS2.

As a Year 4 Teacher you will be responsible for planning delivering and assessing lessons across the curriculum ensuring pupils make consistent academic progress while also supporting their social and emotional development. You will create a positive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and develop key skills for the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 4 curriculum

• Assess track and report on pupil progress effectively

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEN and EAL

• Promote positive behaviour independence and high expectations

• Support pupils academic social and emotional development

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing

• Contribute to planning meetings staff meetings and whole-school initiatives

• Create a safe inclusive and engaging classroom environment

• Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Have recent experience teaching in KS2 ideally Year 4

• Be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum

• Have strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Be enthusiastic reflective and pupil-focused

• Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills

• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
