As a Physics Teacher you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. You will play an important role in preparing students for GCSE and A-level examinations while supporting their wider academic and personal development.
Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach Physics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Prepare students for GCSE and A-level assessments
Assess track and monitor student progress effectively
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners including SEN and EAL
Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Work collaboratively with science colleagues and support staff
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Physics
Have experience teaching Physics at secondary level
Be enthusiastic reflective and organised
Have excellent classroom management skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Be a positive and collaborative team player
