As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the CORPORATE TECHNOLOGY youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Define and execute the DevOps vision strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
Lead and mentor Application Development teams fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
Collaborate with software engineering infrastructure security and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
Design implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient reliable and secure software delivery.
Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation.
Architect and manage cloud-native and hybrid environments (AWS Azure GCP or private cloud).
Ensure high availability scalability and disaster recovery for mission-critical applications.
Implement comprehensive monitoring logging and alerting solutions.
Lead incident response root cause analysis and post-mortem processes to drive operational excellence.
Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes including vulnerability management and compliance automation.
Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools processes and methodologies.
Drive adoption of best practices in automation testing and deployment.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
10 years of experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering or related roles with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Bitbucket etc.) configuration management and cloud platforms.
Strong programming/scripting skills (Python Bash Go etc.).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
Proven track record in leading large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is a plus.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).
Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
