As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the CORPORATE TECHNOLOGY youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Define and execute the DevOps vision strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor Application Development teams fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Collaborate with software engineering infrastructure security and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Design implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient reliable and secure software delivery.
- Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation.
- Architect and manage cloud-native and hybrid environments (AWS Azure GCP or private cloud).
- Ensure high availability scalability and disaster recovery for mission-critical applications.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring logging and alerting solutions.
- Lead incident response root cause analysis and post-mortem processes to drive operational excellence.
- Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes including vulnerability management and compliance automation.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools processes and methodologies.
- Drive adoption of best practices in automation testing and deployment.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- 10 years of experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering or related roles with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Bitbucket etc.) configuration management and cloud platforms.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python Bash Go etc.).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
- Proven track record in leading large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is a plus.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
