Description
This entry-level contract position is based in Montevideo offering a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum NP or PA you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team. This position allows you to work closely with experienced practitioners while engaging in various aspects of patient management and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide health education and counseling to patients
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Assist in the management of chronic and acute conditions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current certification and licensure as an NP or PA in the relevant state
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of primary care practices and procedures
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Previous clinical experience is a plus but not required
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
Setting: 100% onsite
Daily Census: 12 patients
Scope of Work: Preventive care acute care chronic disease management mental health screenings medication management and care coordination
EMR: CPRS
Any active unrestricted U.S. license accepted
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
