AML Analyst
Opportunity in the insurance industry for an FIU compliance role supporting AML/ATF oversight across banking investments and wealth products. Hybrid work model contract position with growth potential. Ideal for candidates with financial services experience and strong investigative skills.

Flexible schedule options: 7:003:00 8:004:00 9:00-5:00 or 10:006:00.
In-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday.
Remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
Conduct AML assessments based on referrals and determine appropriate actions based on unusual activity.
Analyze daily transaction monitoring alerts by assessing indicators facts and transaction context.
Investigate and evaluate the risk of alerts using AML/ATF systems and knowledge of suspicious activity patterns.
Recommend actions and document findings where suspicion is present.
Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all investigative activity.
Review daily ATF/PEP/Country watch list alerts to confirm business relationships and perform enhanced due diligence.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Finance Accounting Business Administration Criminology or a related discipline.
CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification is an asset.
1 years of experience in AML/ATF compliance preferably within financial services or insurance.
Strong understanding of AML/ATF regulations financial crime risk indicators and regulatory obligations (e.g. FINTRAC guidelines).
Experience using AML/ATF systems such as PRM FCRM or FWR is preferred.
Effective analytical investigative and problem-solving skills with sound judgment in assessing unusual activity.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of insurance banking and/or securities products is an asset.
Familiarity with internal controls and risk-based compliance programs.
Knowledge of Manulife products systems and procedures is an advantage.
Bilingual in English and French to analyze AML/ATF alerts document investigations clearly and communicate findings with internal stakeholders in both languages.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced high-volume environment that values teamwork and adaptability.
