Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Job Summary
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams focusing on systems that support Advisors and Operations within the MDs business. This role is responsible for maximizing business value by optimizing advisor- and operations-supporting applications aligning system enhancements with enterprise strategy industry trends and return on investment (ROI).
Working closely with Technology Product Managers developers QA and enterprise delivery teams the BSA translates business needs into actionable requirements and contributes to the development of product roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Product Analysis
Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit analyze and document business and system requirements aligned with enterprise goals.
Assess and contribute to a prioritized product backlog including new features enhancements refactoring and defect remediation.
Break down large initiatives into smaller prioritized components that can be delivered incrementally.
Maintain a strong understanding of advisor practices and operational processes; identify opportunities for process improvement enabled by technology.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Coordinate stakeholder input and feedback to inform product enhancements and backlog prioritization.
Act as a bridge between business users and technology teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and solutions.
Partner closely with the Technology Product Manager on planning prioritization and delivery of product features.
Delivery & Execution
Work closely with application development and QA teams throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Articulate business requirements to support development testing release and change management activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional delivery teams including Release Management PMO Enterprise Architecture Security Deployment and Defect Management.
Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and assist end users as required.
Knowledge & Continuous Improvement
Maintain a broad understanding of systems supporting the MDs business particularly advisor- and operations-facing platforms.
Monitor industry trends and recommend system enhancements where applicable.
Ensure continuous feedback is incorporated into the ongoing evolution of products.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role.
Proven experience working on large programs or projects with significant technology components.
Strong expertise in business analysis and process analysis.
Solid understanding of technology stacks and system implementation processes sufficient to support informed decision-making.
Experience working in Agile and/or iterative delivery environments.
Excellent communication facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in Financial Services.
Experience supporting advisor-facing or operations-supporting systems.
Exposure to enterprise-scale environments and complex stakeholder ecosystems.

Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
