About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our Seaford team. This role involves hands-on preparation and baking of a wide range of bread and bakery products while ensuring consistent quality freshness and presentation. Early morning and weekend shifts may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing mixing and baking bread and bakery products according to established recipes and daily production schedules
Operating baking equipment including ovens mixers and provers safely and efficiently
Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately to ensure product consistency and quality
Monitoring baking processes and adjusting temperatures and timings as required
Ensuring all products meet freshness taste and presentation standards before display
Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations
Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Assisting with stock control ingredient storage and rotation
Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas
Requirements
Previous experience working as a baker or in a commercial bakery environment
Knowledge of bread production baking techniques and food handling standards
Ability to work early morning weekend and public holiday shifts
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods

Required Skills:
AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
