Your Role
As a Baker you will be responsible for preparing baking and finishing a variety of bread pastries and baked goods in a fast-paced artisan bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weighing and mixing ingredients according to recipes
- Kneading molding and shaping doughs
- Operating baking machinery such as ovens mixers and proofers
- Monitoring baking process to ensure quality and consistency
- Applying glazes icings or other finishes
- Ensuring food safety hygiene and workplace health & safety standards
- Maintaining cleanliness of workstations and equipment
- Contributing to new product development and seasonal offerings
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable creative and genuinely passionate about baking.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of commercial baking experience or
- AQF Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of traditional and modern baking techniques
- Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- A team player with a strong work ethic and pride in quality workmanship
Desirable:
- Experience with artisan or sourdough bread production
- Pastry or patisserie skills
- Food Safety or HACCP certification
