GTM Finance Lead, ANZ

This role will be based in Sydney Australia.  

We are seeking someone with a consulting investment banking or similar background to be a Strategic Finance business partner to the ANZ GM and the leadership team.  This is a hybrid strategy and finance role in which you will work on ad hoc strategic projects for ANZ leadership and manage the ANZ GTM budget. 

What you get to do in this role: 

• Be a key business partner to the ANZ GM and the broader leadership team in ANZ 
• Create analysis and presentations for strategic initiatives across the organization including business cases for additional investments and annual & long-range strategic planning 
• Be the primary Finance business partner for ANZ liaising with leadership in not just ANZ but across APAC 
• Roll-up your sleeves on some data crunching activities cross-functional initiatives and assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests 
• Leverage AI to improve productivity and create time for strategic/value-creating initiatives 
• Analyze financial and sales operational data and metrics to make strategic recommendations to help the business in ANZ grow and be successful 
• Be the financial and thought partner to ANZ in helping manage their overall budgeting and planning breaking down financial results into meaningful  senior leadership on overall capital allocation within ANZ GTM 
• Support APAC-wide Finance projects and help enhance the foundations of GTM Finance in APAC and globally in partnership with the rest of the Finance teams  

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you have:

• 7 years experience in consulting investment banking equity research or FP&A is preferred although we will consider candidates with experience analysing both financial and operational metrics 
• Ability to work across cultures and communicate between stakeholders in APAC AMS and EMEA 
• An understanding of how to leverage AI in the workplace or a strong willingness to learn 
• Strong work ethic and the willingness composure and flexibility to work across time zones and deliver on multiple conflicting priorities especially during busy periods including but not limited to month-end quarter-end annual planning and long range planning processes 
• Be a self-starter: make connections with leadership uncover and understand the needs of stakeholders ask the right questions navigate roadblocks and create your own analysis and recommendations 
• Synthesize complex data and clearly articulate insight to an executive audience 
• Understanding of fundamental finance and accounting acumen and industry trendsincluding data modeling data analytics forecasting interpreting financial statements and reporting 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to partner with all levels of the organization. Influence stakeholders using data 
• Take pride in works integrity quality timeliness and accuracy 
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning and growth  
• Strong belief in our purpose and values  
• Expert in Excel and PowerPoint. The role will involve a fair amount of data manipulation there is a lot to build
