Job Summary
Nanook Recreation is dedicated to providing the university community with opportunities and facilities that support active healthy lifestylesboth on campus and in the stunning Alaskan outdoors. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Facility Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role plays a key part in keeping our facilities safe welcoming and fully functional for all patrons. Its an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with tools and tackling hands-on maintenance tasks while also engaging with customers in a dynamic sports-centered environment.
To thrive in this role the ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills a curiosity for understanding how equipment functions and hands-on experience with small electric engines electronics or vehicle maintenance. Equally important are excellent customer service skills ensuring that every interaction with patrons is positive and supportive.
Minimum Qualifications:
6 months of mechanical maintenance or machine/fabrication shop experience ability to read manuals and basic knowledge of google suites.
6 months of customer service experience
Additional preferred skills (but not required):
Electronics diagnostics maintenance and repair
Position Details:
This is an hourly part-time student position. Starting rate of pay is $14.67 per hour.
