Role Summary
The Staff supports month-end and period-end close activities across General Ledger and platform accounting functions helping ensureaccuratefinancial reporting strong internal controls andtimelyclose execution in ahigh-volume telecommunications and digital media environment. The role supports a range of accounting areas including operating expenses and accrualsdigital media and marketingspend payroll fixed assets leases capitalized software customer cash and other complex transactions typical of a large consumer telecom organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities across assigned accounting areasin accordance withclose calendars and quality standards.
Prepare post andmaintainjournal entriessupportingschedules and calculations including those related tomedia accruals technology costs and operational expenses.
Performbalance sheet reconciliations investigate reconciling items and drivetimelyresolution.
Conductfinancial variance analysisand provide clear explanations to FP&A accounting partners and other stakeholders.
Executedata analysisto support accounting processes reconciliations and investigations involving large data sets and high-transaction volumes.
Respond to audit requests and provide documentation forinternal and external audits including SOX controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams includingFP&A Media Finance Procurement Tax Payroll and Internal Audit.
Maintainaccurateworkpapersand desktopprocedures andcontribute toprocess improvement and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
2 to 5years of experience in accounting General Ledger or Record-to-Report roles.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance ora relatedfield.
CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
StrongproficiencyinExcel and Google Sheets; experience with data analytics tools (e.g. SQL)a plus.
Experience with ERP and close/reporting tools such asSAP Oracle NetSuiteBlackLine orTrintech
Demonstrated experience supportingmonth-end close reconciliations and audit activities.
Priorexposure totelecom digital media marketingspend or technology-driven accounting environmentspreferred.
