Mental Health Therapist Opportunity:
The Mental Health Therapist (Outpatient) provides evidence-based mental health and substance use assessment diagnosis and psychotherapy services to individuals families and groups in an outpatient setting. This role supports recovery wellness and stability by delivering person-centered trauma-informed care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to meet the needs of diverse populations. The In-Training Therapist (Outpatient) role delivers all of these and participates in required supervision and professional development to support high-quality person-centered care.
What Youll Get:
- The starting pay range for a fully licensed Mental Health Therapist is $75712 - $82430 based on education and experience. The starting pay range for an In-Training Mental Health Therapist is $62067 - $67600 based on education and experience.
- This job is a full-time in person position.

What You Bring:
Required:
- Masters degree in Social Work Professional Counseling or a related human services field from an accredited institution
- Current State of Wisconsin licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Applied Practice Social Worker (APSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LPC-IT)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT or LMFT - IT)
- Licensed Psychologist or Interim Psychologist License
- Demonstrated skill in clinical assessment treatment planning and therapeutic intervention
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities work independently and adapt to change
- Valid Wisconsin drivers license and access to a personal vehicle
Preferred:
- Three or more years of outpatient mental health and/or substance use treatment experience

What a Mental Health Therapist does at NCHC:
Mental Health Therapist:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments diagnostic evaluations and risk screenings using evidence-based tools and clinical judgment
- Develop implement and regularly update individualized person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients
- Provide individual family and group psychotherapy for clients with mental health and/or substance use disorders across the lifespan
- Monitor client progress adjust interventions as needed and complete discharge planning and aftercare coordination
- Maintain timely accurate and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record including assessments progress notes treatment plans billing entries and summaries
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed including emergency response mobile crisis support or backup coverage
- Coordinate care and collaborate with internal teams schools social services medical providers and community agencies
- Provide consultation education and outreach to community partners and stakeholders
- Participate in team meetings case consultations supervision and required trainings
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling including in-office community-based and telehealth services to meet client needs
- Adhere to professional ethics licensure requirements confidentiality standards and all applicable federal state and local regulations
- Complete required continuing education and training activities.
- Deliver services in compliance with applicable federal state and agency regulations
- Ensure documentation meets clinical regulatory and billing standards
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In-Training Therapist additional duties:
- Attend required individual and/or group clinical supervision in accordance with licensure requirements
- Actively seek feedback and guidance to support clinical skill development and licensure progression
