Job Summary

Work Schedule: 7.00hours per day(8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.) 180 days per year (Monday-Friday)

Salary:PerNon-Represented salary schedule at Code: 0 0- 7.0

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing support to all students families and staff. This position may include but not be limited to the following performance responsibilities knowledge skills and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma OR high school transcript evidencing a graduation date OR proof of GED
  • Valid Washington State Drivers license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience and/or training with cultural ethnic and language diversity preferred
  • Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance
  • Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later)
  • I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act
  • Completion of all district-required training within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date

Essential Job Functions:

This list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Depending upon individual assignment the employee may perform all or a combination of several of the following duties:

  • Assist POD Liason to:
  • Build relationships with families
  • Identify family strengths and goals
  • Coordinate services for families
  • Link families to community resources
  • Support parent involvement activities
  • Conducts home visits with families
  • Attend Family Nights
  • Attend requiredschool/district trainings in Culturally Responsive Practices Trauma-Informed Practices and/or social-emotional learning initiatives
  • Locates community resources as needed
  • Maintain consistent presence at assigned worksite and regular work hours
  • Professionally interact with students staff and public
  • Collaborate with administrative and office staff to collect and evaluate data to inform family support plans
  • Collaborate to develop school improvement actions and measuresin family/community engagement attendance and discipline school improvement plans and documents.
  • Comply with all district policies and procedures
  • Support all POD activites including recess and lunch
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Strong background or willingness to learn Coast Salish culture and Tulalip history
  • Strong background in trauma-informed deescalation and social emotional strategies with students

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This employee will support QCT POD families in all areas including emotional mental physical and spiritial support. This includes supporting social emotional academic and supervised spaces.

Evaluation:

This positionshall be evaluated periodically by the principal or principal designee pursuant to the currently established district procedures and evaluation criteria. The process shall include an evaluation of the employees performance of the above essential job functions.
