About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Supervisor to join our Operational Highways team at Leicestershire County Council the primary function of this role is to actively engage with stakeholders both internally and externally and facilitate and support the effective delivery of Traffic Management across the county.
As Supervisor you will manage and lead a dedicated team of Traffic Management Operatives to deliver a professional cost-effective service as well as supporting the wider service when required ensuring proactive planning of this service across the Countys highways to nationally agreed standards Safety & Street Works and Road Works / Chapter 8. The role will also assist the Highway Works Manager with employee selection recruitment induction training and development attendance management monitoring and disciplinary procedures.
The nature of the work may involve you carrying out work outside of normal working hours and at different locations than your designated base there may at times need to be a flexibility within the role to support operations.
