The Opportunity:

Diligent Market Intelligence (DMI) is a global provider of governance shareholder and market intelligence data delivered through SaaS platforms data feeds and analytics solutions. As part of Diligent a leading Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) technology company DMI provides decision-grade intelligence that helps asset managers investment banks law firms and advisorsanticipaterisk engage shareholders and make informed strategic decisions.

We engage senior stakeholders across stewardship teams investment banking advisory groups corporate governance leaders executive compensation specialists institutional investors and advisory firms that rely on high-quality intelligence to navigate complex shareholder and governance dynamics.

Our solutions support critical workflows including activism defense shareholder engagement corporate governance benchmarking proxy voting analysis reporting executive compensation evaluation and emerging stewardship data capabilities.

This role sits at the front end of DMIs commercial growth strategy. As a Business Development Representative you will play a key role in generating qualifiedpipeline expanding market awareness and positioning DMIs intelligence platform with prospective clients.

Position Overview:

The Business Development Representativeis responsible forgeneratingqualifiednew business pipeline through outbound prospecting strategic account research and early-stage customer engagement. Success is measured through qualified meeting generation pipeline contribution activity metrics and alignment with Account Executives on conversion outcomes.

This individual contributor role focuses onidentifying engaging and qualifying prospective customers while positioning DMIs intelligence solutions as valuable inputs to governance shareholder engagement and market intelligence workflows. The role requiresstrong communicationskills commercial curiosity resilience and disciplined execution in a performance-driven sales environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional to develop deepexpertisein market intelligence and progress within a high-performing commercial organization.High performers typically progress into Account Executive Client Success or specialist commercial roles within DMI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting including calls email outreach LinkedIn engagement events and sales engagement platforms
  • Identifyand research prospective accountsand decision makersacross asset managers investment banks law firms and advisory organizations
  • Engage senior stakeholders with targeted messaging that articulates DMIs value proposition and relevance to governance stewardship and market intelligence workflows
  • Buildaccurate targeted prospect lists using lead generation tools such as Salesforce Outreach LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
  • Qualify leads through structured discovery conversations to assess fit urgency and commercial potential
  • Schedule qualified meetings product introductions and discovery sessions for Account Executives
  • MaintainaccurateCRM hygiene including activity tracking lead management and opportunity alignment in Salesforce
  • Meet or exceed activity targets pipeline generation quotas and conversionmetrics
  • Develop strong knowledge of DMIs products industry landscape competitive positioning and target customer workflows

Required Experience/Skills

  • 1-3 yearsofexperience in sales development business development or outbound prospecting roles within SaaS data financial services or adjacent intelligence markets
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in sales within a performance-driven target-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and targeted account engagement
  • Ability to quickly learn and confidently communicate DMIs products data and value proposition
  • Strongverbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with senior stakeholders
  • High energy resilience and a proactive mindset with comfort handling rejection andmaintainingmomentum
  • Strong organizationalskillsand CRM usage (Salesforce or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools such as OutreachSalesloft LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar platforms
  • Exposure to financial markets corporate governance shareholder advisory or institutional investment environments preferred.
