Job Summary

Estimator II

Perform a variety of estimating duties associated with the development of detailed construction estimates through quantity take-offs and interaction with subcontractors and suppliers. Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions. Identify conflicts/missing data and obtain clarification on plans and specifications from design professionals. Distribute bid documents. Develop unit costs. Apply knowledge in building designs systems and construction materials through available resources. Understand the project/program and its requirements. Obtain and review proposals and quotes by subcontractors or vendors. Perform detailed review of all documents including specifications for identification of onerous requirements. Build relationships with key vendors including subcontractors suppliers and architects.

Masters degree in Civil Engineering Construction Science Construction Engineering Architecture or related field and 2 years of experience performing quantity take-offs drawing analysis estimation and cost-control; Evaluating and hiring concrete masonry and exterior subcontractors; Updating construction schedule; Managing Quality Control and Turnover; Preparing RFIs and performing drawing updates.
