Data Integration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced tech agnostic Data Integration Specialist to join our growing data engineering this pivotal hands-on role you will be responsible for designing and optimizing complex data integrations on middleware platforms ensuring seamless efficient and robust data flow across various critical data integration projects.

Youll also take responsibility for defining and maintaining the governance framework and integration standards for our integration design assuring a consistent and qualitative outcome.

This position demands a deep blend of technical expertise in advanced data integration technologies a proactive problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills to drive successful and impactful data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Integration Design Design highly robust scalable and performant data integration solutions on designated middleware platforms adhering to architectural principles project timelines and technical specifications.

Review Architectural Artifacts for all Integration designs Operational excellence:

Act as a technical advisor providing guidance and mentorship to support and delivery teams aiding in deep-dive analysis and troubleshooting for complex integrations running on the integration platforms ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Adhere rigorously to company-wide ITIL processes (incident change problem management)

Architecture Documentation & Standards:

Collaborate closely with data architects and other specialists to define and evolve data integration patterns standards and best practices.

Create and maintain comprehensive high-quality documentation of integration flows system interfaces and architectural designs.

Develop onboarding and operational playbooks for new integrations and tools.

Solution Implementation & Optimization:

Support the technical implementation of data integration solutions ensuring they are robust scalable and performant and align perfectly with overall data architecture principles.

Drive adherence to technical best practices coding standards and performance optimization techniques.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Communication:

Collaborate effectively with diverse project stakeholders including business users IT teams and senior technical leads to gather complex requirements and deliver sophisticated solutions.

Communicate technical details progress and challenges clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

Proactively identify and champion opportunities to optimize data integration processes improve efficiency and enhance data quality through automation standardization and the adoption of new tools and technologies.

Risk & Issue Management:

Proactively identify analyze and escalate complex technical risks and issues and contribute significantly to the development and implementation of robust mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. Technical Expertise Leadership:

Stay abreast of and evaluate the latest trends emerging technologies and best practices in data integration ETL/ELT data streaming cloud data services and related fields applying relevant innovations to projects and sharing knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related technical field.

8 years of hands-on experience in complex data integration design and advanced support.

Proven expertise in designing and implementing highly scalable and performant data integration solutions.

Proficient in establishing governance frameworks and integration standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.

Deep understanding and extensive hands-on experience with a variety of integration and ETL tools (OIC Kong Kafka Fivetran etc.).

Exceptional analytical problem-solving and debugging abilities with a meticulous eye for detail and a strong focus on data integrity.

Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence technical discussions and work effectively across diverse teams. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex technical initiatives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

Strong understanding and practical experience with DevOps principles and practices in a data context.

Experience with data governance data quality frameworks and metadata management.

Fluent in English
