Primary Purpose:
Provide custodial services to maintain a clean safe and orderly learning environment. Perform routine and project-based cleaning sanitation and facility support tasks to ensure campus operations function efficiently and in accordance with district standards. Support daily campus activities special events and building security procedures to promote a healthy and secure school setting.

- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate custodial equipment and perform physical work including lifting and moving heavy objects
- Ability to properly handle store and use cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with campus staff and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean assigned area by dusting vacuuming sweeping mopping waxing floors and removing carpet spots and stains.
- Collect remove and properly dispose of trash in accordance with district procedures and local regulations.
- Perform required physical tasks including bending twisting reaching pushing pulling standing stooping kneeling climbing and walking.
- Assist with lunchroom setup including arranging tables and chairs.
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and supplies according to established safety guidelines.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and other high-touch surfaces.
- Move furniture and equipment within the building as directed by the campus principal or supervisor.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of facilities for special events and campus activities.
- Assist with opening and closing the building each school day.
- Follow established procedures for locking checking and safeguarding campus facilities.
- Conduct daily checks to ensure exit doors are operable and panic hardware functions properly during building occupancy.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques while performing job duties including proper lifting climbing and use of equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all district policies procedures and expectations as outlined in the employee handbook and administrative regulations.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Participate in professional development faculty/department meetings and special events as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the campus and district.

Tools and Equipment Used: Buffer stripper wet and dry vacuum cleaner shampooer; small hand tools; small power tools
Posture: Frequent standing sitting kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking climbing stairs/ladders grasping/squeezing wrist flexion/extension reaching and overhead reaching
Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis
Environment: Work outside and inside on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures dust toxic chemicals and materials; regularly work irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours; occasional districtwide travel
