The Lead Financial Analyst enhances current reporting processes drives automation throughout the finance team and supports close process companywide financial reporting financial analysis that helps provide business insights and assists with building the budget and updating forecast.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Enhances current reporting processes drives automation throughout the finance team and supports close process companywide financial reporting financial analysis that helps provide business insights and assists with building the budget and updating forecast. Updates creates and manages various financial reports as well as budgeting/forecasting tools and reports. Determines reporting solutions as well as improves and streamlines current reporting and models including budget and forecast templates as well as keeps abreast of system changes and enhancements to continuously improve our reporting capabilities processes and efficiencies. Manages daily monthly quarterly and annual tasks within Prophix (adding/removing users distributing monthly cost reports and quarterly forecast templates annual budget uploads etc.). Implements and may provide input into strategic goals for organization and financial systems and reporting. Applies expertise in finance to support the development of policies procedures and programs. Has familiarity with the finance budget and may provide input into spending decisions particularly as pertains to vendors systems and projects. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 12 months 2 years.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Assists the Finance Director in implementing financial systems in collaboration with IT and Accounting/Finance teams to achieve continued system optimizations upgrades and improvements. Utilize financial systems Business Intelligence and MS Office to enhance reporting capabilities efficiencies internal controls and systems effectiveness.
2. Work in cooperation with all users IT and external software vendors/consultants in the design upgrade and maintenance of their reporting mechanisms. Act as a resource to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of reports and spreadsheets of finance/accounting team. Develop financial reporting solutions based on specifications and needs.
3. Responsible for generating monthly financial and management reports and presentations as well as reports for forecast and budget in collaboration with the appropriate internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
4. Responsible for maintenance and administration of financial software systems and products in a timely manner that reflects the current reporting requirements. Manages multiple versions of data including actuals budgets (various versions) and forecasts as well as budget and forecast templates. Also maintains security report distribution and workflow in Prophix.
5. Analyzes monthly marketing promotions and presents results/insights to the Marketing team.
6. Leads and coordinates the annual budget checklist process between Accounting Finance and Procurement teams.
7. Compile extract and analyze financial data from various systems to support ad hoc analysis monthly reporting and long-term forecasting.
8. Prepare maintain and present financial analyses including budgets forecasts cost analysis and pro-formas to finance and business unit leaders along with actionable recommendations.
9. Apply training techniques to grow understanding and usage of the applications.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Two years of college education or experience equivalency and a minimum of 5 years experience.
2. Relevant experience with reporting (generating financial and/or enterprise reports for internal and external use and presentations understanding of data so that reporting is accurate and efficient).
3. Knowledge of Prophix preferred.
4. Strong computer skills including MS Office business intelligence and report writing software. Exposure to budget forecast and other software products are desirable.
5. Excellent customer service attention to detail time management and organization.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
Remain stationary for extended periods of time repetitive use of hands for keyboarding vision required to work with electronic databases.
