Woodholme Country Club Assistant Superintendent
Woodholme Country Club features an amazing 18 Hole golf course designed by Herbert Strong. Founded in 1927 much of the original layout is still in place addition to the golf course the club has a modern clubhouse 15 tennis courts and many additional amenities. The club is investing in a $2.5 million dollar irrigation system set to be installed October of 2026. Many additions to the golf course will be added over the next several years that are set to include some tee box build/relocations architectural features as well as short grass expansions. This is a great opportunity for an emerging Assistant Superintendent to gain hands on experience with golf course agronomics architecture irrigation install and enhance playability standards.
Salary: $55000 to $65000 annually.
Course Maintenance & Agronomy
Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in daily management of turfgrass and grounds maintenance.
Supervise and participate in the maintenance of greens tees fairways bunkers rough and practice areas.
Monitor turf conditions and assist in implementing agronomic programs including mowing irrigation fertilization topdressing aeration and pest management.
Maintain high standards for course playability and aesthetics in accordance with club expectations.
Staff Supervision & Training
Direct train and motivate the maintenance staff to ensure efficiency quality and safety.
Assign daily tasks monitor performance and provide hands-on leadership in the field.
Help with scheduling timekeeping and performance evaluation.
Irrigation & Equipment
Operate and troubleshoot irrigation systems make repairs as needed and ensure proper water management practices.
Oversee the calibration and safe application of fertilizers and pesticides.
Coordinate with the Equipment Manager to ensure proper maintenance of mowers and other turf equipment.
Course Setup & Tournament Preparation
Administrative & Environmental Responsibility
Maintain records of chemical and fertilizer applications weather conditions and maintenance activities.
Assist with budget tracking inventory management and ordering of agronomic supplies.
Promote environmental stewardship and compliance with local state and federal regulations.
