About the Role

As a Physician conducting Intake Consultations at Baba you will perform brief structured telehealth visits that establish medical necessity for our care advocacy and navigation programs. These intake visits are the cornerstone of Babas serviceidentifying high-risk conditions unmet social needs and confirming eligibility for ongoing care navigation support.

You will collaborate with care advocates nurse care managers and our clinical operations team to ensure patients are enrolled safely compliantly and compassionately into the right level of care. This is a fully remote flexible 1099 contractor role ideal for physicians seeking meaningful telehealth work without long-term panel management or after-hours obligations.

What Youll Do

• Conduct 1520 minute telehealth intake visits focused on medical necessity social determinants of health (SDOH) and risk identification.

• Utilize structured documentation templates within Babas platform to ensure accurate coding SDOH Z-codes and diagnoses.

• Develop and approve individualized care plans aligned with each patients medical treatment and social needs.

• Collaborate with care advocates and nurse care managers to finalize care navigation strategies.

• Participate in a streamlined workflow designed to minimize administrative burden and maximize patient impact.

What This Isnt

• No ongoing primary care panel management

• No prescribing requirements (unless otherwise desired)

• No prior authorizations or billing responsibilities

• No nights weekends or on-call coverage required

What You Bring

• M.D. or D.O. with an active unrestricted U.S. medical license

• Multistate licensure strongly preferred (IMLC participation or broad coverage ideal)

• Board certification in Internal Medicine Family Medicine or Geriatrics preferred

• 2 years of experience in primary care telehealth or care management preferred

• Comfort with web-based EMRs and telehealth workflows
