We are recruiting for an IT Summer Student to provide support for the Information Technology department. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 20 2026 for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.43. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.

Minimum requirements of these positions include:

  • Enrolled in post-secondary education in IT/Computer related programs; or other closely related fields of education is an asset
  • Some Computer related experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated skills in inclusive leadership including building relationships problem solving and decision making self-awareness championing change and innovation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge and familiarity with computer operations and software applications
  • Current valid drivers licence and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Providing technical assistance to users by troubleshooting and assisting with system upgrades or installations
  • Assisting with database administration tasks such as data entry database maintenance performing regular maintenance and upgrades to I.T. equipment
  • Providing customer service to internal users by responding to inquiries resolving issues promptly and ensuring user satisfaction
  • Helping to manage and monitor computer and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
  • Creating and updating technical documentation user guides and training materials
  • Performing other duties as directed by the Manager/Supervisor.
