With growing needs within its departments Tonic DNA is seeking a candidate interested in a hybrid position that will touch on both project coordination and IT department coordination.
This person will act as the operational pivot of the studio. Providing direct support to the producer this person ensures rigorous tracking of production stages and fluid communication with creative teams. At the same time they structure technological needs by managing inventory and orchestrating IT priorities to guarantee an optimal work environment both in-studio and remotely.
Responsibilities Production Coordinator
- Producers right hand: Assist the producer in daily tracking of time budgets project updates and preparation of client presentations.
- ShotGrid Management: Keep ShotGrid rigorously up to date (statuses assignments versions) to reflect the real state of production at all times.
- Note-taking and follow-up: Participate in production meetings and dailies take technical and creative notes and ensure that feedback is clearly communicated and understood by artists.
- Communication with artists: Act as the daily point of contact for creative teams to remove operational blockers and ensure deliverables are met.
Responsibilities IT Coordinator
- Inventory Management: Responsible for the rigorous entry and tracking of assets (hardware licenses peripherals) in the inventory management software.
- IT Coordination: Handle support requests regarding the sharing and purchasing licenses software requests and access permissions to various production servers.
- Orchestration of priorities: Establish and maintain the IT priority calendar in collaboration with management balancing technical emergencies and long-term needs.
- Communication Interface: Facilitate exchanges between the IT department and creative departments as well as with external stakeholders (vendors software support consultants).
Qualifications :
Required Profile and Skills
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in production coordination within the animation or VFX industry. Knowledge of 2D animation is a major asset.
- French/ English bilingualism mandatory.
- Production Tools: Mastery of ShotGrid and excellent ability to synthesize information for meeting notes.
- Technological Asset: Prior knowledge of Snipe-IT inventory software is an asset.
- Communication: Excellent ability to explain technical concepts simply and maintain fluid positive communication with artists.
- Rigor: Organized mind capable of simultaneously managing production logistics details and technical follow-ups for the computer park.
