About the role:
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor theTechnicianElectronicsis responsible formaintainingand troubleshooting mobile telecommunications systems such asWi-FinetworkLoRaWAN LTE two-way radios camera systems mobile equipmentmonitoringconnectivity shovel payload systemsGPS collision avoidancesystemsand other similar systems tomaintainmineoperations.
This role follows a 4x4daysschedule with 12-hour shifts; howeverissubject to change depending on operational requirements.
To be successful we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communicationskills whocanwork effectively between departments to gather information on operational priorities and make necessary repairs person works well independently and collaborates successfully with a rolerequires an individual to have both stronghands onskills and computer diagnostics ability to learnand supportnew technologiesas introduced isrequired.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Install andmaintainnetwork equipmentincluding:Wi-Fi networkLoRaWAN LTEGPSandtwo-way radios
    • Install andmaintainmonitoring equipmentincluding:ruggedized equipment computerscamera systemsshovel payload systemsdigital level/flow meters In-Vehicle MonitoringSystemsandcollision avoidance systems
    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections/service of critical assets
    • Performcomputer-basedtroubleshooting of network assets
    • Develop best practices job procedures and troubleshooting guidelines

Requirements:

    • Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
    • Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician with relevant experience
    • Experience with set-up tuning and adjusting radios repeaters and antennas
    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience inWi-Fi networkLoRaWAN LTE two-way radios camera systems mobile equipmentmonitoringconnectivity shovel payload systemsGPS collision avoidance systems
    • Strong digitalproficiency withanemphasis on computer-based troubleshooting
    • Mining experience is considered an asset
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
$83000 - $103000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
