Job Summary

Installation Technology (IT) have been providing network solutions for over 30 years. We work with some of the biggest organisations in education healthcare and transport. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Document Controller to join our team within the rail sector in London. As a Document Controller you will play a key role in the management and organisation of critical project documentation.

Requirements

  • Compliance check and distribute project documentation in line with governance requirements
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurately recorded and stored in the document management system
  • Maintain and administer project document register and live project trackers
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations
  • Maintain and administer project workflow reporting to meet programme requirements as guided by the COO and the client
  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders including Engineering Delivery Service Management and Finance teams regarding progress or status of projects
  • Ensure that all project documentation complies with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Provide training and support to project team members on document control procedures and systems

Required Skills:

Take a lead in maintaining VMware and physical server infrastructure based primarily in the Woodley office and Reading Data Centre Ensure critical services run correctly and efficiently Ensure all related backup and recovery activities are carried out promptly and tested regularly Required Competence Essential Knowledge Proven Ability to build support and maintain Linux and Microsoft Windows Servers in a VMware or physical server environment. Knowledge of vSphere and vCenter 7 essential 2-5 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a companys IT infrastructure and service operations based on ITIL principles Good Problem-Solving capabilities Excellent working knowledge of Active Directory and associated infrastructure (User account management group policy AD Sync) Good working knowledge of Office 365 administration implementation and support. Good working knowledge of underlying technologies such as: IP Networking LDAP DNS DHCP Microsoft NPS / RADIUS Windows Terminal Services Data Backup and Recovery PowerShell Essential Attitudes Over time will be expected to grow into the role of deputy to the Technical Support Manager. Flexible attitude to change. Act as a company ambassador at all times Willingness to travel Keen willingness to learn new things Self-starting ability to take initiative and ability to manage own time effectively
