Key Responsibilities

  • Develop implement and maintain packaging designs for PDC product assemblies and parts
  • Collaborate with product teams to define packaging design requirements
  • Identify and pursue costsaving initiatives (design materials processes sourcing) under engineering control
  • Engage with suppliers including designing packaging setting up packaging and labeling processes obtaining quotes and creating scorecards
  • Create and/or review packaging designs in CAD environment
  • Perform root-cause analysis on simple packaging failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with the packaging test lab to get the packaging designs/ configurations tested
  • Lead packaging SharePoint projects to meet schedules and deliverables
  • Communicate the packaging project status needs and issues to the cross-functional stakeholders
  • Release specifications via Engineering Change Order (ECO) process
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned based on departmental and BU specific goals
