An Supply Chain Specialist at Pure Storage is responsible for buy-sell supporting inventory operations within the broader Supply Chain Execution team. Key duties and requirements as indicated by internal development
plans process documentation and team structures include:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Buy-Sell Management: Strategically buying materials and selling performing system transactionsmanaging material risk improving agility and ensuring supply continuity and real-timecollaboration with contract manufacturers.
Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels forecasting demand and ensuring optimalstock levels to meet customer needs.
Transportation and Logistics: Coordinating transportation and warehousing tracking shipmentsand ensuring timely delivery.
Supply Chain Optimization: Identifying inefficiencies implementing process improvements anddeveloping strategies to enhance supply chain performance.
Data Analysis: Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends forecast demand and make informeddecisions.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams including sales marketing and operations toensure seamless integration of supply chain activities.
Required Skills:
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data identify trends and make informed decisions.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers.
Organization and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneouslywith attention to detail.
Proficiency in relevant software: Familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g. Netsuite SAP Oracle) Google workspace tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
A bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a relatedfield is generally required.
Experience in a supply chain role often with a minimum of 3-5 years.
Relevant certifications such as the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) may be anadvantage.
