This vacancy is located in the State Office Child Support Enforcement Unit in Baton Rouge LA.

The incumbent will serve as one of three members of the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Senior Management Team responsible for developing administrative and operational plans policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CSE policy and state and federal guidelines. Responsible for management decisions that affect the daily operations of the Child Support program in the areas of Arrears collections Contracts Invoicing and the Access and Visitation Program.

Minimum Qualifications

Eight years of experience in child support enforcement; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in child support enforcement; OR

A bachelors degree plus five years of experience in child support enforcement; OR

A masters degree plus four years of experience in child support enforcement.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
  • Assists the CSE Director in negotiating the contacts with the DAs.
  • Provides guidance and support regarding performance and production.
  • Ensures compliance with contract terms state and federal time frames discuss results of reviews and recommends corrective action plans.
  • Monitors quarterly review process through Program Integration Team in accordance with policy.
  • Conducts administrative reviews upon request.
  • Responsible for the drafting request for proposals (RFP) and working with the Office of State Procurement to finalize the RFP.
  • Directs the Program Manager and maintain contact with Project Manager to ensure results comply with requirements of the contract.
  • Works in collaboration with the management of the State Treasurers Office to ensure all services are handled as provided for in the contract.
  • Oversee the CSE Access and Visitation Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the Department.

Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.

Work Schedule: Typically work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
