Summary:

Develop integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to support system design.
Develop maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3D CAD tools and other design methods to support engineering production suppliers and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Create and improve design and analysis processes and tools to enhance development effectiveness quality and efficiency.
Research emerging technologies and develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Work under general direction with moderate autonomy.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Aerospace or Civil Engineering
5 years of experience with aircraft structures materials and properties design criteria and release processes
5 years of experience with aircraft primary structures including design strength and fatigue analysis
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

9 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
14 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience using engineering tools such as CATIA ENOVIA and PDM
Strong knowledge of structural design principles for aircraft primary structures including fatigue damage tolerance corrosion stress analysis statics materials strength material characteristics and repair techniques
Experience in Airplane Design Stress Analysis Liaison Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred
Experience with 7-Series Aircraft Primary Structures
Strong written verbal and presentation communication skills
