In this hands-on role youll play a crucial part in assembling maintaining and troubleshooting advanced test equipment that supports critical aerospace systems. Whether youre diagnosing complex electro-mechanical issues repairing test stations or ensuring equipment operates at peak performance your expertise will directly impact life support technologies in Space.

Collins Aerospace Civil Space Systems is searching for energetic and highly motivated candidate for its Onsite Johnson Space Center Lab Operations Organization. The selected candidate will be a member of the Operations teamcompletingtasks ranging from test stand maintenance sampling flow bench sampling daily lab maintenance and support of critical life support systems and ISS flight with test equipment nitrogen and water purity requirements and chamber test operations is preferred. Safe handling and transportation of critical flight hardware will be part of the daily responsibilities of this position.

Candidates must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment working independently and as a member of the SSSL Team. It is essential the successful candidate be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment.

This is an Onsite position that is in Houston TX.

What You Will Do:

• Test Stand Maintenance and sampling
• Flow Bench maintenance and sampling
• Maintenance of metrology and calibration assets
• Maintenance of clean room facilities
• FOD Control and EH&S Compliance
• Audit Support and Discrepancy Resolution
• Effective communication of job status to intended customers and supervision
• Facilitates and directs scheduling activities to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities as required
• Will require frequent interface with various customers
• Expected travel less than 10%

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles
• Prior experience in clean room lab operations and Space Flight hardware processing requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Previous experience with test equipment nitrogen and water purity requirements and chamber test operations is preferred
• Previous experience in aerospace industry is preferred
• Bachelors degree in engineering operations or technology
• Prior Military experience is a plus

The salary range for this role is 66800 USD - 127200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
