Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Support the execution of M&A transactions including financial analysis due diligence and preparation of critical transaction materials.
- Review and develop complex financial models with a focus on infrastructure and debt-related models.
- Collaborate with senior professionals to provide strategic advice to clients on acquisitions refinancing and other financial transactions.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the infrastructure and energy sectors.
- Prepare presentations reports and other client-facing materials to support transaction execution.
- Work alongside international colleagues on cross-border transactions gaining global exposure and insights.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in Big 4 M&A commercial finance teams boutique advisory firms or investment banking.
- A strong academic background holding a distinction-level degree and an ATAR of 90 (95 preferred).
- Previous experience in the infrastructure or energy sectors (highly desirable).
- Proficiency in financial modeling with the capability to design and review complex models.
- Demonstrable M&A transaction experience coupled with a strong work ethic and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative team-oriented environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis the selected candidate will:
- Review optimize and develop financial models contributing to their analytical rigor.
- Participate in client meetings and calls providing updates and insights on transaction progress.
- Enjoy one protected weekend per month offering a work-life balance with dedicated time off.
- Prepare for case studies and presentations as part of the comprehensive interview and onboarding process.
