Our client is looking for a Senior Purchasing Analyst who will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end IT procurement activities ensuring accurate financial control of contracts invoices and project budgets. This role plays a critical part in securing goods and services in a timely cost-effective and compliant manner while adhering to organizational procurement policies and approved vendor agreements. The position supports IT operations by optimizing procurement strategies managing supplier relationships and ensuring transparency and governance across procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT procurement including requisition review quotation evaluation internal approvals coordination with the Contracts department and issuance of contracts.
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational procurement policies internal controls approval workflows and governance standards.
- Coordinate closely with technical and project stakeholders to ensure timely issuance and recording of Work Orders and certification of invoices.
- Monitor and resolve procurement-related issues such as delayed deliveries invoice discrepancies contractual clarifications and supplier performance concerns.
- Maintain accurate financial tracking of contract values cost consumption work orders and processed invoices.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of suppliers contracts work orders and procurement documentation to support audits and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify communicate and mitigate commercial and procurement-related risks.
- Develop and maintain effective reporting tools and dashboards to support program and project managers in monitoring project status financial health and procurement performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes by identifying efficiencies and optimizing workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar procurement or purchasing role preferably within IT or technology-driven environments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles contract management commercial terms and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with public procurement frameworks including tendering bidding and compliance regulations is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and ERP platforms preferably Oracle along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Supply Chain Management or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Professional certifications or advanced training such as PMP Governance or similar are desirable.
- Excellent negotiation communication and vendor management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen including cost tracking invoice processing account reconciliation and project close-out.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple procurement initiatives and meet competing deadlines.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Well-organized process-oriented and proactive in driving procurement efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Experience in developing tracking and reporting key project and procurement performance metrics.
