Position Summary:
Reports the Director Payroll. Responsible for accurate calculations of payroll taxes and timely payroll tax filings to all appropriate jurisdictions.
- Ensure taxes are calculated accurately and sent timely each week.
- Responsible for quarterly and annual tax withholding filings.
- Responsible for annual creation and distribution of W2 forms to all MTC employees.
- Reconcile payroll and payroll tax accounts.
- Assist MTC locations with payroll tax related inquiries.
- Responsible for interdivisional entries related to payroll taxes.
- Resolve inquiries from the tax agencies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of audit requests as they arise.
- Maintain accountability of property; adheres to safety practices.
- Contribute to our company Culture of Caring by maintaining positive and respectful relationships with employees customers vendors program recipients and our community.
- It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum four years of experience two of which must be supervisory.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of federal government accounting procedures and requirements.
- Must be willing and able to travel.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Unless waived by management valid drivers license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
