Department: Recreation Facilities

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Revenue Facilities Manager

Supervises: Lake Park Attendants

BASIC FUNCTION

Lake ParkAssociateoperatesas frontline staff includingcash controladmission onto the golf course and boating marinafulfilling concessions and beverage ordersas wellascustomer relations andattendantstaff be at least 21 years of age.This is a seasonal position dependent on the weather withan anticipatedstart date of March 1st2026.

Schedule: Weekdays and weekends 6:30am-1:45pm & 1:30pm-8:15pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Implements measures thatinsurethe smoothday-to-dayCash and Concession operations.
  1. Supervise and direct Lake Park all facility rules and District Policies and procedures are followed by staff and patrons.
  1. Enforcemeasuresto secure handling of all monies.
  1. Balance cash drawers andprepare deposits daily.
  1. Complete all required paperworkreportsand daily forms. Enforce all facility rules and District policies and procedures.
  1. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service.
  1. Promotepositiveteamwork environment for all staff.
  1. Take control of and act decisively in emergency situations responding calmly and quickly under pressure.
  1. Open and closethe facility including thegolf courseand boat marina.
  1. Ability to work flexible shifts including evening and weekend hours.
  1. Control inventory of food and drink products and supplies.
  1. Answer phone calls and questions/suggestions of guests.
  1. Ensure the overall cleanliness of the food preparation area public concessions area and outdoorpatioareas.
  1. Communicatestaff and facility issuesin a timely manner.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Troubleshoot to prevent potential problems.
  1. Delegate work tasks to staff.
  1. Responsible for concessions and waterfront whenattendantis not on duty.
  1. Inform all staff of any changes in policy procedures or rules handed down by supervisor.
  1. Follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Park District Safety and Crisis Manuals.
  1. Performadditionalduties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Some College level work.

Experience: Must be 21 years of age or older.

Cash handling experience preferred.

General knowledge of Point of Sale systems.

Customer service experience.

Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certification classes available through Park District upon hire

Food Handler Training Certificate required following employment.

Illinois BASSET Certification required following employment.

Required Illinois Drivers License
