Job Summary

Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6 at Annandale and North Shore.

Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1400 students including 120 boarders (7-12) of whom approximately 25 are international students.

As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time. The School has a long-standing reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.

Townsville Grammar School is seeking an inspiring and experienced Early Education Centre Director to lead our highly regarded Pre-Prep centres at Annandale and North Shore.

This is a unique leadership opportunity to oversee two exceptional early learning centres that form the foundation of a childs educational journey at Townsville Grammar School with a strong and intentional pathway into Prep at each respective campus.

Following 12 years of outstanding service from our current Director the centres are exceptionally well established beautifully resourced and supported by a committed and professional staff team. The incoming Director will be well positioned to build upon this strong foundation and continue to lead a culture of excellence in early years education.

We are seeking an energetic and professional leader with a genuine passion for early childhood education. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Early Education Centre Director or senior centre leader with a strong understanding of centre operations compliance and quality improvement and a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.

Key attributes include:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Early Education Centre Director or in a senior leadership role within an early learning setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood compliance requirements and the National Quality Framework
  • Strong leadership communication and organisational skills
  • A child-centred philosophy and commitment to high-quality early learning
